Reality TV star and former BBNaija housemate, Teddy A, has sparked reactions online after sharing his views about marriage and the kind of wife he prefers.
Speaking during a recent roundtable discussion on Echo Room, Teddy A said he wants a woman who is hardworking, successful and supportive — but also submissive in marriage.
According to him, he does not believe in the idea of a stay-at-home wife because he prefers couples building wealth together for their future.
“I love to support a woman. I have no problem having a high-value woman,” he said during the conversation.
The reality star explained that he wants both partners contributing financially so they can enjoy the rewards of their hard work together later in life.
However, Teddy A added that despite wanting an independent and ambitious partner, submission still matters greatly to him in marriage.
His comments have since triggered mixed reactions online, with many Nigerians debating his views on relationships, gender roles and modern marriage expectations.
The statement also comes amid ongoing rumours surrounding his marriage to fellow reality TV star and actress, Bambam.
Speculation about possible issues between the celebrity couple started after fans noticed they unfollowed each other on Instagram.
The rumours became even stronger earlier this year when both stars posted separate Valentine’s Day photos instead of celebrating together publicly.
Teddy A and Bambam met during the 2018 edition of Big Brother Naija and later got married in Dubai in 2019.
The couple welcomed their first child in 2020 and announced the birth of their second child in 2022.
Despite the online rumours, neither Teddy A nor Bambam has publicly confirmed any marital crisis.
