Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has opened up about what she believes is behind her youthful appearance, saying a fulfilling relationship and an active sex life—not marital status—are what truly make a woman glow.
The 48-year-old actress made the remarks during an appearance on The Morayo Show, hosted by Morayo Afolabi-Brown.
Speaking on relationships, Ojo dismissed the notion that marriage automatically brings happiness or fulfillment, insisting that what matters most is being with the right partner.
“We (single mothers) are happy. I think some married women are happy too. I don’t think it’s about being single or being married,” she said.
The actress went on to suggest that a satisfying sex life contributes to a woman’s confidence and appearance.
“Sex has a lot to do with a woman’s glow. I’m getting more than enough. Maybe those with marriage certificates aren’t getting enough,” she said.
Ojo also spoke about her relationship with Paulo Okoye, describing it as one built on understanding, mutual respect and support despite their demanding careers.
According to her, disagreements are normal, but respect and communication have helped them maintain a healthy relationship.
“We’re two mature people and two very busy people… the most important thing is to understand each other, to support each other and to be there for each other,” she said.
The actress added that she and Paulo respect each other’s personal space and have learned to move past disagreements.
Iyabo Ojo and talent manager Paulo Okoye made their relationship public in December 2022. She previously revealed that she initially hesitated to date him until she confirmed he was not married.
