The Allied People’s Movement (APM) says it has developed a comprehensive governance blueprint aimed at addressing Nigeria’s economic and security challenges ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Abubakar Yusuf, the party said the proposed plan focuses on reviving the economy, rebuilding critical infrastructure, creating jobs and strengthening national security.
According to the APM, the blueprint is designed to boost productivity, improve the standard of living and restore confidence in governance through people-focused policies.
The party criticised the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), accusing it of lacking a clear economic direction over the past decade.
It claimed that poor governance had contributed to rising inflation, unemployment, insecurity and poverty across the country.
The APM also expressed concern over the growing cost of living, saying many Nigerians now struggle to afford basic necessities despite the country’s abundant natural and human resources.
According to the party, its proposed agenda prioritises industrialisation, youth employment, infrastructure development, agriculture, education, healthcare, housing and improved public service delivery.
It added that the blueprint also contains measures to overhaul the country’s security architecture, combat terrorism and guarantee the safety of lives and property.
The party further promised to introduce stronger anti-corruption measures and accountability systems to promote transparency in government.
“APM’s blueprint comes with a new and transparent approach to governance… prioritising inclusive human development, security of lives and property, industrialisation, massive youth employment and sustainable prosperity for all,” the statement read.
The party assured Nigerians that the full blueprint would be unveiled at the appropriate time as it prepares to contest for power in 2027.
It also pledged that, if elected, it would uphold transparency, the rule of law, social justice, freedom of speech and policies aimed at improving the welfare of Nigerians.
