Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has broken his silence on the ongoing controversy involving his wife, Judy Austin, and her former husband, Emmanuel Obasi, declaring that neither criticism nor allegations can bring him down.
The actor made the statement in a Facebook post on Sunday as fresh debates continued to trail claims and counterclaims surrounding his relationship with Judy Austin.
Reacting to accusations that he was involved in the breakup of another man’s marriage, Edochie dismissed the allegations as false narratives aimed at damaging his image.
“My aura gives my enemies sleepless nights. In the last 4 years they’ve told all sorts of lies against me and they all failed.”
The actor argued that the story being pushed against him was misleading, insisting that the circumstances surrounding Judy Austin’s previous marriage were being deliberately misrepresented.
Edochie also maintained that he remains unbothered by public criticism and online attacks.
“I’m a rock. No mortal or spirit can bring me down. I’m a chosen one. A lion. A king.”
According to him, his resilience and continued success are proof of God’s grace despite years of public scrutiny.
The controversy gained fresh attention after Emmanuel Obasi alleged during an appearance on The Honest Bunch Podcast that Edochie was preventing him from accessing his children with Judy Austin.
However, Judy Austin has strongly denied the allegations and defended her husband against the criticism.
In a video response, she praised Edochie for supporting her children and providing for them despite not being their biological father.
“Please, you people should stop insulting Yul Edochie. For everything, he has helped me take care of kids who are not his biological children.”
She also clarified that her relationship with Edochie began years after her marriage to Obasi had ended, insisting that the actor should not be blamed for circumstances that predated their relationship.
The dispute has continued to generate intense reactions online, with supporters and critics divided over the claims made by both sides.
