Nigerian actress Nkechi Blessing and reality TV star Phyna have exchanged words on social media following comments made by the actress about the reality star’s online confrontations.
The dispute began after Nkechi criticised Phyna over what she described as her frequent involvement in online arguments, accusing her of constantly getting into conflicts with people.
In a video shared on Instagram, Nkechi questioned Phyna’s behaviour and said she had been receiving comments from people comparing their appearances.
“Phyna, what’s your problem? You know wetin kon dey vex me pass… if I post picture, people go dey tell me say: is it my eyes or you look like Phyna. I troublesome oh but God no go let me resemble that girl,” she said.
“She is too troublesome. Phyna, relax… must you fight with everybody? I know say you go come for me oh, but number one, I am not your mate. So before you set your camera and try to insult me, just know say I am 37.”
The actress urged Phyna to be more restrained in her interactions with people online and said her approach to social media had become too confrontational.
“I senior you. But you need to calm down. You are doing too much. You just come online and talk to people anyhow. Are you okay?” she asked.
“Don’t you have people that talk to you at home? You no get elders for your house? Before you know, you would say they are trying to bully you. You know who they bully reach for this internet space?
“Try rest. See me now, I used to be a very troublesome person but ever since I stop doing all this internet drama, I have peace. You don’t like peace? I would call you with my full chest.
“If you don’t have anyone to tell the truth, I Nkechi Blessing, I would tell you. Try dey respect yourself… you are just trending for the wrong reasons.”
Phyna later responded through her Instagram Story, questioning why Nkechi had chosen to speak about her despite the two not having had further conversations after an earlier chat.
“Since after that chat, me and you no get any conversation again. So where is all these your nonsense videos coming from,” she wrote.
“@nkechiblessingsunday abi na clout you wan chase? Wassup grandma, wassup?”
The exchange has since drawn attention online, with both personalities expressing different views about the reason behind the confrontation.
