James Safechuck, one of the principal accusers of late American pop star Michael Jackson, is scheduled to give testimony under oath today, Monday, September 14, 2026, as revived legal proceedings involving the singer’s estate continue.
According to US court documents, the 48-year-old will appear for an official deposition alongside his mother, Stephanie Safechuck, who is scheduled to give her own testimony on October 15 and 20.
Safechuck and another accuser, Wade Robson, have alleged that Jackson sexually abused them when they were minors at his Neverland Ranch in California.
Stephanie Safechuck previously appeared in the 2019 documentary Leaving Neverland, where she described how Jackson became close to her family after a television commercial shoot involving her son, who was nine years old at the time.
A Los Angeles judge dismissed Safechuck’s lawsuit against Jackson’s business entities in 2020. However, a California Appeals Court overturned the decision in 2023, allowing Safechuck and Robson to revive their civil claims against companies associated with the late musician.
Jackson died in 2009 and consistently denied allegations of child abuse during his lifetime.
The renewed legal proceedings are part of the ongoing civil litigation involving the allegations made by Safechuck and Robson against Jackson’s companies.
