Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Rema has added another major achievement to his growing success after acquiring a luxury home at One by Binghatti, one of Dubai’s most prestigious residential developments in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The acquisition was announced by Binghatti Developers in a statement shared on its official Instagram page on Monday, where the company welcomed the award-winning singer as its newest celebrity homeowner.
According to the property developer, the official signing ceremony took place at the Grand Hyatt Dubai and was attended by Abdullah Binghatti, the company’s Chief Sales Officer, alongside other senior executives.
“Binghatti proudly announces global singer and songwriter Rema as the newest homeowner at One by Binghatti,” the company said.
The company’s Deputy Chief Sales Officer also shared a video from the event, celebrating the singer’s latest investment.
“Another global icon joins the Binghatti legacy. Welcome home, Rema,” he wrote.
Rema’s new property is located in Business Bay, one of Dubai’s most luxurious districts, just a five-minute drive from the iconic Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world.
The singer, born Divine Ikubor, has continued to enjoy remarkable success since signing with D’Prince’s Jonzing World, an imprint of Mavin Records, in 2019.
His global hit song “Calm Down” featuring Selena Gomez made history in 2023 after winning the inaugural Best Afrobeats category at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs).
Rema also broke streaming records in 2024 with his sophomore album “HeIs,” which became the biggest first-week album on Spotify Nigeria.
The album later earned a nomination for Best Global Music Album at the 2025 Grammy Awards, although it lost to Matt B’s “Alkebulan II.”
At the 16th Headies Awards, Rema further cemented his place among Africa’s biggest music stars after winning both the Best Male Artiste and Digital Artiste of the Year awards.
His latest investment in Dubai places him among a growing list of international celebrities who own luxury properties in the city, reflecting his continued rise as one of Africa’s biggest global music exports.
