Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Burna Boy has been ranked Africa’s best-selling artist of all time, with 14.46 million Equivalent Album Sales (EAS) worldwide, according to music data platform Chartmasters.
The achievement was announced by Nigerian music news platform The Debut Hub, citing the latest data from Chartmasters.
According to the ranking, Burna Boy’s total includes album sales, physical and digital singles, as well as streaming equivalents, making him the highest-selling African artist globally under the EAS metric.
The milestone adds to Burna Boy’s impressive international success since breaking into the global music scene with his 2018 hit “Ye.”
His critically acclaimed albums, including African Giant (2019) and Love, Damini (2022), have recorded millions of streams worldwide, while his sold-out concerts across major international venues have further cemented his global influence.
