The Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), in partnership with the Presidential Media Team, have launched a five-day media tour across the South-East to showcase key projects and achievements of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
According to a statement by RHA’s Director of Media and Publicity, Tunde Rahman, the tour began in Ebonyi State and will run through Enugu, Anambra, Abia, and Imo States, concluding on June 17.
More than 50 editors and journalists from different parts of Nigeria are expected to participate in the exercise, which is aimed at giving media professionals firsthand access to federal government projects being executed under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
During the tour, participants will inspect ongoing and completed projects, interact with stakeholders, and engage in discussions focused on national development and governance.
Rahman said the initiative is designed to encourage accurate and fact-based reporting on government activities while also strengthening collaboration between public institutions and the media.
According to him, the South-East tour follows a similar exercise recently conducted in the North-West, where over 70 editors and government officials visited major infrastructure projects, including sections of the Kaduna-Kano-Katsina-Maradi railway, the Sokoto-Badagry Highway, the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano Highway, irrigation projects in Jigawa State, and ecological intervention projects in Kano State.
The organisers say the media tour will provide Nigerians with better insight into the impact of government policies and infrastructure projects across different regions of the country.
