Veteran Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello has shared a powerful message for young women, urging them not to define their worth by social media attention, physical appearance, or transactional relationships.
Speaking during an interview on The Morayo Show, Bello said women do not need to reveal their bodies or engage in attention-seeking trends to be considered attractive, successful, or valuable.
The actress stressed that true confidence and self-worth go beyond viral moments and online validation, encouraging young women to focus on their future and personal growth.
Addressing the issue of transactional relationships, popularly known as “runs,” Bello said she understands that some women find themselves in such situations because of financial struggles and family responsibilities.
Rather than judging them, she acknowledged the realities many young women face, including the need to support their families, pay school fees, and survive difficult economic conditions.
However, Bello encouraged those involved in such lifestyles not to remain there permanently, reminding them that they are capable of achieving much more.
According to her, temporary circumstances should not define a person’s future, adding that every woman has greater value beyond what society may see on the surface.
The actress also reflected on her own career journey, explaining that she remains focused on acting because she believes it is her purpose.
While many entertainers expand into film production and other ventures, Bello said she prefers to stay committed to the path she believes God has called her to follow.
