Nigerian rapper Ice Prince has revealed that he spent a staggering N340 million on weed over a six-year period before finally deciding to quit smoking and embrace a healthier lifestyle.
The music star made the shocking revelation during a recent episode of the Black Box X Nevon HQ podcast, where he spoke about his personal transformation, celibacy journey, weight loss, and struggles with addiction.
According to the rapper, the N340 million covered purchases from only one weed supplier in Lagos between 2020 and 2026 and did not include money spent on other dealers in Abuja, Jos, Ghana, and London.
“I spent N340 million on weed from just one dealer alone,” Ice Prince revealed.
The rapper disclosed that he stopped smoking weed and cigarettes recently after years of addiction.
“I’ve been celibate for six months, and for smoking, it’s been two months,” he said.
Ice Prince also admitted that he used to smoke two packs of cigarettes every day and could spend as much as N60,000 daily on weed, especially when hanging out with friends.
He explained that quitting alcohol was easier because he was never heavily attached to drinking, but cigarettes were much harder because of how addicted he had become.
The rapper said his journey toward a healthier lifestyle started after music producer Chopstix encouraged him to focus more on fitness and personal wellbeing.
According to him, Chopstix would visit his house almost every evening to take long walks with him, helping him gradually build discipline and healthier habits.
“He started coming to my house every day around 8 p.m. and we would walk for about an hour,” Ice Prince recalled.
The rapper added that he later changed his eating habits, stopped eating late at night, and fully embraced a healthier routine.
Speaking on fatherhood, Ice Prince also reflected on how having a son changed his perspective on life and public behaviour.
He admitted that becoming a father initially felt overwhelming because of public criticism and online attacks at the time, but over the years his son became one of the biggest reasons he started thinking differently about life.
“When I do things now, I think about how it could affect him because people know he is Ice Prince’s son,” he said.
On his decision to practice celibacy, the rapper described it as part of a deeper spiritual journey inspired by fellow rapper Phenom.
According to him, he began researching the spiritual benefits of celibacy after conversations with the rapper.
The interview has since sparked major reactions online, with many fans praising Ice Prince for being open about addiction, lifestyle changes, and personal growth.
