Fast-rising Afrobeats singer Ryno has emotionally opened up about the heartbreaking loss of both his parents and how the tragedy nearly affected his music career.
The Ogun State-born artiste, whose real name is Abebefe Ayomide, revealed that losing his parents remains the toughest challenge he has faced while trying to build a name in the Nigerian music industry.
Speaking in a recent interview, Ryno said music became his safe space and emotional outlet during some of the darkest moments of his life.
According to him, his love for music started from childhood with strong support from his family.
“My sister would play the drums, I would sing, and my mother would dance,” he recalled emotionally.
The Afro-soul singer explained that his personal struggles, street experiences and everyday realities continue to shape the kind of music he creates.
Despite the emotional pain, Ryno said he remains focused on inspiring young people through his songs and encouraging them never to give up on themselves.
“My message is simple — stay determined and keep pushing no matter what,” he said.
The singer also reflected on collaborating with late Nigerian singer MohBad on the song Hello, describing the experience as one of the most emotional and unforgettable moments of his career.
According to him, the collaboration remains a special milestone he will always cherish.
Ryno recently released a new single titled La Vida Loca featuring Oberz, a song he says promotes confidence, resilience and living life boldly without fear.
The artiste also disclosed that another song titled Nothing For Love will be released next month.
Speaking on his future dreams, Ryno revealed that he hopes to collaborate with Nigerian music stars including Burna Boy, Davido, Wizkid, Zlatan and Olamide, whom he described as one of his biggest inspirations.
