Popular Lagos socialite and nightclub owner, Pretty Mike, has revealed that despite his controversial public image, he still hopes to get married and build a family someday.
The nightlife entrepreneur, whose real name is Mike Nwogu, opened up during a recent chat where he spoke about relationships, business struggles and life away from the spotlight.
According to him, marriage remains one of the most beautiful achievements in life because it allows people to build a home and raise children together.
“I believe marriage is a major achievement,” he said emotionally.
However, Pretty Mike admitted that the increasing rate of broken marriages today has made many people more careful about settling down.
Speaking on the kind of woman he wants, the Lagos socialite explained that character, attitude and personality matter more to him than physical appearance.
“Physical appearance is not enough to sustain a marriage,” he stated.
Pretty Mike also addressed his controversial image, saying controversy has naturally become attached to his brand over the years even though he does not intentionally chase scandals.
Surprisingly, he revealed that he actually dislikes loud parties and enjoys staying indoors quietly despite owning one of Lagos’ popular nightlife spots.
The socialite further disclosed that he spent over ₦100 million renovating his nightclub, Proxy Lagos, after it remained shut down for several months following a raid by the NDLEA.
According to him, the closure was emotionally and financially difficult, but he decided to rebuild the club bigger and better for loyal customers.
Pretty Mike added that aside from nightlife, he also makes money through construction and real estate businesses, which helped him survive the difficult period.
“The Pretty Mike brand is always making money,” he said confidently.
