Napoli manager Antonio Conte is reportedly preparing to leave the Serie A champions at the end of the season despite guiding the club to major success.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Italian coach has already informed Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis of his decision, with the move said to have been made about a month ago.
Romano wrote on X, “Antonio Conte has decided to leave Napoli at the end of the season, it’s over. Conte made his decision and informed the president De Laurentiis already one month ago. There will be no exit fee, Conte will leave without severance pay and without any agreement elsewhere.”
Conte’s expected exit comes after an impressive spell in Naples, where he helped the club win the Serie A title in his first season and also lifted the Supercoppa Italiana.
Known for his intense style and tactical discipline, Conte quickly transformed Napoli into one of Italy’s strongest sides. His departure is now expected to trigger fresh discussions over the club’s long-term plans and search for a new manager.
Napoli are yet to release an official statement on the development.
