The revered monarch of Ile-Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has joyfully announced the birth of a set of twin princes with his wife, Olori Mariam Ajibola, marking another significant moment for the royal household and the ancient throne of Oduduwa.
The royal announcement was officially made on Friday, May 15, 2026, as the Ooni expressed gratitude to God for what he described as another season of divine blessings upon the kingdom and the royal family.
In his statement, the monarch celebrated the safe arrival of the twins and extended congratulations to members of the House of Oduduwa, describing the birth as a moment of joy and thanksgiving for the entire kingdom.
The Ooni praised God for His faithfulness and abundant blessings, while also appreciating the successful delivery and the good health of both the mother and the newborn princes.
According to the monarch, the birth of the twins represents a special blessing to the royal throne, adding that the palace is filled with gratitude and celebration over the newest additions to the royal lineage.
He further noted that both Olori Mariam Ajibola and the twin babies are in stable and healthy condition, bringing relief and excitement to family members, palace chiefs and well-wishers across the country.
Olori Mariam Ajibola, formerly known as Mariam Anako before joining the royal household, became one of the wives of the Ooni in 2022. Since her marriage into the royal family, she has remained one of the prominent queens within the palace of the Ooni of Ife.
