Nigerian street-hop singer Portable has strongly rejected his defeat to comedian and content creator Carter Efe following their celebrity boxing clash, insisting that the outcome of the bout was unfair.
The dramatic contest, held at the Chaos in the Ring 4 event in Lagos, ended with Carter Efe securing a unanimous decision victory after all three judges scored the fight 30–27 in his favour. However, moments after the final decision was announced, Portable openly disputed the result and accused the organisers of denying him what he believed should have been a win.
Speaking during an emotional Instagram Live session shortly after the bout, Portable claimed he was “robbed” and argued that several of the punches he landed during the contest were ignored by officials.
According to him, Carter Efe relied heavily on his physical advantage rather than technical boxing. Portable alleged that his opponent repeatedly used his height and longer reach to control the fight, while some of his own efforts inside the ring went unrecognised. He also accused the officiating team of failing to properly count his scoring blows.
The singer further suggested that the matchup itself was unfair from the outset. In his reaction, he questioned why he was paired against an opponent with a clear height and reach advantage, saying the physical difference played a major role in how the contest unfolded.
Despite his frustration, the fight itself attracted significant attention from fans across social media, with many describing it as one of the most talked-about celebrity boxing events in recent weeks.
Carter Efe Claims the Belt
For Carter Efe, the victory marked a major moment in his growing celebrity profile.
The comedian used his physical reach well throughout the three-round contest, controlling distance and landing cleaner shots. His measured approach allowed him to dictate the pace of the fight, which ultimately convinced all three judges to award him the win.
With the result, Carter Efe emerged as the new celebrity boxing champion, ending Portable’s reign in the ring.
Following the announcement, Carter Efe celebrated the victory and later described the result as proof that preparation and discipline paid off on fight night.
Portable Demands Payment After the Fight
Beyond disputing the judges’ decision, Portable also demanded payment from the organisers.
The singer said he expected to receive about ₦200 million in streaming revenue linked to the event. He insisted that the money should be paid without delay, adding another layer of controversy to an already heated post-fight reaction.
His remarks quickly spread online, triggering mixed reactions from fans. While some believed Carter Efe deserved the victory based on the judges’ scorecards, others argued that Portable’s aggressive performance gave him reason to question the outcome.
The outcome of the bout has already sparked conversations about whether a rematch could happen in the future.
For now, Carter Efe leaves the ring with the official victory, while Portable continues to maintain that the decision did not reflect what truly happened during the fight.
As debate continues across social media, one thing is certain — the celebrity boxing rivalry between Portable and Carter Efe has delivered one of the most talked-about entertainment moments in Nigeria this week.
