Popular Nigerian content creator and actress Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, widely known as Kiekie, has revealed why she refuses to collaborate with some skit makers in the entertainment industry.
Speaking during a podcast interview that began trending on Sunday, Kiekie said she is intentional about the kind of content and creators she associates with because of her personal brand.
According to her, she avoids working with skit makers whose content she considers overly vulgar or sexually explicit.
“I would never collaborate with any skit maker that is too vulgar. I will not be able to collaborate with them,” she said.
When asked to mention any specific content creator, Kiekie declined, saying she had no particular individual in mind.
“I don’t have a name of one but I have seen quite a number of them,” she explained.
The actress said her decision is based on brand alignment, not personal dislike or criticism of anyone’s work.
She explained that while she has no issue with how others choose to create content, collaborations must reflect the image she has built over the years.
“If you’re too much breasts, bumbum… not that I have a problem with it, but it’s just brand alignment,” she added.
Kiekie also stressed that choosing not to work with certain creators should not be seen as disrespect.
She acknowledged the effort many content creators put into their work but maintained that not every partnership is suitable.
“My inability to collaborate with you doesn’t mean I look down on what you do. I recognize your hard work, but we just don’t align,” she said.
According to Kiekie, maintaining a consistent brand identity is important because it also influences the type of opportunities and endorsements she receives.
