Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Wizkid has officially revealed “Sexy” as the title of his highly anticipated seventh studio album.
The award-winning artiste made the announcement during an exclusive pre-release listening party held on Thursday night at Cova Club in Paris, where he hosted fellow musicians including Shallipopi, Young Jonn, Tiakola, and Pasuma.
Although the album title has now been confirmed, Wizkid is yet to announce its official release date or unveil the tracklist, leaving fans eager for more details.
The announcement comes weeks after the singer sparked excitement online with a cryptic post on X, where he simply wrote, “Album🦅,” fueling speculation that new music was on the way.
“Sexy” will be Wizkid’s first album since “Morayo,” which was released in November 2024. The project held deep personal significance for the singer as it was dedicated to his late mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun, who passed away in 2023.
Since breaking into the music scene with “Superstar” in 2011, Wizkid has established himself as one of Africa’s biggest music stars, releasing successful albums including “Ayo,” “Sounds From The Other Side,” “Made In Lagos,” and “More Love, Less Ego.”
His critically acclaimed “Made In Lagos” featured collaborations with global stars such as Burna Boy, Tems, H.E.R., Skepta, Damian Marley and Ella Mai, further cementing his international success.
Wizkid also won a Grammy Award in 2021 for his contribution to Beyoncé’s “Brown Skin Girl.”
