The Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) has reaffirmed its commitment to providing reliable electricity across Nigeria, saying stable power remains essential for business growth, job creation, and national development.
The company’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Jennifer Adighije, made the pledge in a Democracy Day message, stressing that dependable electricity is one of the foundations of economic prosperity.
According to Adighije, businesses can only thrive when they have access to consistent and affordable power supply, which reduces operational challenges and improves productivity.
“At NDPHC, we remain committed to delivering reliable electricity that drives industries, empowers communities, and fuels national progress,” she said.
She explained that stable electricity goes beyond being a basic utility service, describing it as a major driver of industrial growth, investment, and economic expansion.
The NDPHC boss also highlighted the company’s Eligible Customer Programme, which allows large industrial and commercial consumers to access more reliable electricity directly.
“Our Eligible Customer Programme gives businesses reliable, predictable electricity so they can focus on scaling operations, not power outages,” Adighije stated.
According to her, the initiative helps businesses reduce downtime, improve efficiency, and focus on expansion rather than dealing with frequent power disruptions.
Adighije further noted that improved electricity access would play a critical role in strengthening Nigeria’s economy, supporting manufacturers, creating jobs, and encouraging investment.
She called for continued collaboration between government agencies and private sector stakeholders to build a stronger and more resilient power sector.
The company added that initiatives such as the Eligible Customer Programme and the Light Up Nigeria Project are designed to improve electricity access, support productive industries, and drive sustainable economic growth across the country.
