A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dan Orbih, has died.
Orbih, an ally of the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, reportedly died on Monday, August 31, 2026.
The family announced his death in a statement signed by Francis Udukhomoi Orbih, Esq., describing the development as a painful loss.
The family said the announcement was made with “profound sadness and a heavy heart” while submitting to the will of God.
Orbih is survived by his wife, Mrs Florence Orbih, his children, Winifred Anwosiobor Orbih and Dr Mildred Omonemi Orbih, as well as his siblings and other members of the extended family.
The family appealed to relatives, friends and well-wishers to remember them in their prayers as they mourn the loss.
“At this difficult time, we ask family members, friends and well-wishers to remember the entire family in their prayers as we mourn this painful loss.”
The family said further details, including funeral arrangements, would be announced in due course.
