Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has urged people across the North-West to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, saying the region should reciprocate the administration’s interventions with votes.
Sani spoke through his Special Adviser on Politics, Abubakar Muhammad Mamadi, on Saturday during the inauguration of coordinators and members of the “Relax, Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria” support group for the seven North-West states in Kaduna.
The governor said the North-West had benefited significantly from the Tinubu administration, particularly in agriculture, education, youth empowerment and women’s development.
“No region has benefited under Tinubu’s administration like the North, particularly the seven states in the North-West region.”
He urged the newly inaugurated coordinators to take the Federal Government’s achievements to communities across Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Jigawa, Sokoto and Zamfara, while mobilising support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 election.
The convener of the group, Mike Auta, called for aggressive grassroots mobilisation, urging members to reach communities beyond major cities.
The group’s women’s leader, Karima Abdullai, also encouraged women in the region to back Tinubu’s second-term bid, citing cash assistance and empowerment programmes as some of the benefits women had received under the administration.
Meanwhile, Director of Town Hall Engagement and Special Duties, Farida Ahmed Bala, appealed to Nigerians to remain patient with the government, describing the current period as one of rebuilding and restructuring.
“Rebuilding a nation is not easy.”
The organisers said the Kaduna inauguration marks the beginning of a wider grassroots campaign across the North-West aimed at mobilising support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
