Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has reaffirmed his administration’s support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, saying the state is ready to mobilise votes for the President.
Aiyedatiwa made the commitment on Friday when he received the leadership of the City Boy Movement, a pro-Tinubu group, at his office.
The group was led by its Ondo State coordinators, Oluwafemi Ayejusunle and Tomide Akinribido. The meeting was disclosed in a statement issued on Saturday by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan.
The governor said his administration’s work in infrastructure, job creation, youth employment and empowerment would help strengthen support for Tinubu across the state.
“Every action we take that impact the people positively is a vote for the president.”
Aiyedatiwa pointed to the 6,000 jobs created by his administration and ongoing road projects as examples of achievements he believes would translate into support for Tinubu’s 2027 campaign.
“Every of the 6,000 jobs we have created is a vote for the president. Every road we build attract votes for the president.”
He said the President’s Renewed Hope agenda aligns with his administration’s direction in Ondo State and expressed confidence that residents would reward both efforts with their votes in 2027.
Earlier, Ayejusunle praised Aiyedatiwa’s leadership and his alignment with Tinubu’s agenda. He also said the City Boy Movement would step up its grassroots mobilisation and sensitisation across Ondo State to work towards victory for Tinubu and the APC in the 2027 election.
