American rapper A$AP Rocky has opened up about his relationship with global music icon and business mogul Rihanna, saying her billionaire status has never made him feel insecure.
Speaking during a recent appearance on The Jason Lee Show, the rapper dismissed suggestions that his partner’s enormous wealth overshadows his own success.
Rocky was asked about the public tendency to compare celebrity couples, especially when one partner is perceived to be more successful or financially stronger than the other.
Responding to the question, he made it clear that Rihanna’s achievements do not diminish his own accomplishments.
“My woman got billions, I got multi-millions. Her success is never my demise. I’ve done what I’ve done for myself, and I’m proud of what I did for myself,” Rocky said.
The rapper stressed that no criticism from the public could make him feel insecure about Rihanna’s success.
According to him, he takes pride in everything she has achieved and sees her accomplishments as something to celebrate rather than compete with.
“There’s nothing anybody can say to make me feel insecure or less proud about my woman being successful. I’m proud of that woman. She did that,” he added.
Rocky’s comments come amid frequent online debates about the couple’s financial status, with some critics suggesting he depends on Rihanna’s wealth.
However, the rapper rejected that narrative, explaining that he has built his own successful career through music, fashion and business ventures.
According to Forbes, Rihanna’s net worth is estimated at about $1.4 billion, thanks to the success of Fenty Beauty, Savage X Fenty, and her music career.
Rocky has also built a multi-million-dollar fortune through his music career, fashion projects, his AWGE creative agency and several brand partnerships.
Beyond the discussion about wealth, the rapper spoke affectionately about Rihanna, describing her as more than just a romantic partner.
“She my heart. I love her to death. I love the person she is,” he said.
Rocky also revealed that his mother had always hoped he and Rihanna would eventually become a couple.
The celebrity pair confirmed their relationship in 2020 after years of friendship and now share three children.
They have continued to support each other’s careers while frequently making public appearances together at major fashion shows, music events and red-carpet occasions.
