Ahead of the 2027 general election, the Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), Senator Hope Uzodimma, is set to inaugurate the organisation’s Diaspora Arise Platform and the coordinators of its Diaspora Youth Directorate in Toronto, Canada.
The inauguration, organised by the Directorate of Youth of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, is scheduled to take place on Monday, August 10, 2026, at the Ontario Investment and Trade Centre in Toronto.
According to a statement issued by the Director of Youth, RHA, Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi, who is also the Director-General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria, the initiative reflects the growing support for President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda among Nigerians living abroad.
He said the platform is designed to mobilise young Nigerians in the diaspora to actively contribute to nation-building, youth leadership, civic engagement and economic development, while also supporting President Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
“The RHA Diaspora Youth platform comes as a strategic vehicle for mobilising young Nigerians across the world to contribute to nation-building, youth leadership, civic engagement and economic transformation,” Abdullahi said.
He added that the initiative also demonstrates that Nigerians in the diaspora remain key stakeholders in the country’s development and in promoting President Tinubu’s vision of a prosperous and globally competitive Nigeria.
According to him, the mobilisation of diaspora youths aligns with the administration’s commitment to harnessing the country’s human capital for sustainable development.
“This initiative is therefore anchored on RHA’s belief that Nigeria’s greatest strength lies in the resilience, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit of its people,” he added.
Abdullahi noted that Nigerians living abroad have continued to distinguish themselves in business, technology, healthcare, education, public service and other sectors across the world.
He explained that the inauguration marks another step in expanding the organisation’s global network while promoting youth empowerment, national unity and economic growth.
The newly inaugurated coordinators will receive digital mobilisation materials, including personalised recruitment codes, QR-enabled registration links, mobilisation toolkits and performance-monitoring dashboards to support their activities.
As part of their performance targets, each coordinator is expected to recruit at least 50 verified members within their first 30 days in office.
Abdullahi reaffirmed the commitment of the RHA Youth Directorate to promoting youth participation in national development and called on Nigerian youths both at home and abroad to remain united in supporting the country’s development aspirations.
“We thank Nigerian youths at home and in the diaspora for their unwavering support for the Tinubu administration and urge them to remain focused, united and to continue to work hard for Nigeria’s development aspirations in line with the objectives of the Renewed Hope agenda for the benefit of all citizens,” he said.
