Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated nine brand-new buses to the youth wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) while urging young Nigerians to embrace patience, integrity and hard work in their pursuit of success.
The buses were presented on Friday at the State House in Abuja during a meeting with the APC National Youth Wing leadership to support the movement of party officials during political and community activities.
Addressing the youth leaders, the First Lady encouraged them not to be carried away by quick success but to remain focused on building lasting achievements.
“God always knows our needs, and that is what young people do not know. They are always in a hurry,” she said.
“I am teaching you to learn contentment and not be beggarly. You have to have the eagle’s mentality… always look for your own path and not say, ‘Because that person has it, I want it,’” she added.
Senator Tinubu also commended the APC youth leadership for promoting unity within the party and urged them to continue engaging Nigerians by showcasing the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
She reminded the youth wing of its responsibility to champion the Renewed Hope Agenda, urging members to remain resilient and committed to nation-building.
Reacting to the donation, APC National Youth Leader, Dayo Israel, expressed gratitude to the First Lady, describing the gesture as a major boost to the youth wing’s operations.
“We are committed to the Renewed Hope Agenda. What you have done today has enhanced our capacity to reach out not just for electoral mobilisation but also to improve the lives of Nigerians,” he said.
He added:
“We came here, many of us without vehicles, but we are leaving with brand-new buses. We are very grateful, ma.”
The buses were handed over to the APC National Youth Leader, Deputy National Youth Leader, zonal youth leaders and the FCT representative.
