Oyo State Governor and presidential candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), Seyi Makinde, will on Friday inaugurate the party’s Oyo State Presidential and Governorship Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Wednesday by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olarenwaju.
According to the statement, the inauguration will take place at 3:30 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Governor’s Office, Ibadan.
The statement named the Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Nureni Adeniran, as the Oyo State Coordinator of the APM 2027 Presidential Campaign and Director-General of the State Governorship Campaign Council.
Other appointments announced include Saheed Arowosaye, former Chairman of Oyo East Local Government, as Deputy State Coordinator of the APM 2027 Presidential Campaign.
Hon. Demola Ojo, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, was named Deputy Director-General (South), while Dr. Femi Ojo and Alhaji Siju Lawal will serve as Deputy Directors-General for Oyo Central and Oyo North Senatorial Districts, respectively.
The statement also announced Hon. Ramata Agberemi Dabo as Director of the Women’s Wing, while Hon. Kazeem Bolarinwa, a former Special Assistant (Youth) to Governor Makinde, will head the Youth Wing.
It added that additional members of the campaign council would be unveiled in due course as preparations for the 2027 elections continue.
