Popular Nigerian skit maker Sydney Talker has revealed that he has remained celibate for the past four years, saying the personal decision helped him stay focused on studying the content creation industry and finding ways creators can earn more money.
In a video shared on his Instagram page, the 30-year-old content creator disclosed that he has not “slept on the same bed with a woman” since July 27, 2022.
“On the 27th of this month, it will make it four years of celibacy for me. Technically, what I’m trying to say is that I have not slept on the same bed with a woman for the last four years,” he said.
Sydney Talker admitted that the journey has not been easy but said he believes God’s grace has helped him remain committed.
“It has not been easy but I thank God. It is not by my power but by His grace,” he added.
The comedian explained that his decision was intentional, as he wanted to eliminate emotional distractions and dedicate his time to researching the future of Nigeria’s content creation industry.
According to him, his findings have convinced him that creators need to make important changes if they hope to achieve long-term financial success.
“In this past four years, I have studied my industry, content creation, and I have come to a conclusion that if we do not put some things in place now, we would never get wealthy,” he said.
Sydney Talker also announced a special event titled “Creators Keynote,” scheduled for July 27, where he plans to share the solutions and ideas he believes can transform the content creation space.
The event will be streamed live on his Twitch and YouTube channels from 1:00 p.m., with the entertainer inviting creators and fans to participate.
“I stayed away from emotional activities and took out time to study… I found solutions that would really help us as content creators,” he said.
His revelation has sparked conversations on social media, with many fans reacting to both his commitment to celibacy and his promise to unveil new ideas aimed at helping content creators build sustainable careers.
