Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has confirmed that her marriage to Bobby Maris has come to an end after sharing emotional messages on social media.
The actress made the announcement through a series of posts on her Instagram Story, where she suggested she had reached her limit and questioned why society often accepts men leaving marriages but criticises women who make the same decision.
“For person to tire for marriage now nah taboo because nah woman! Must it always be man must taya? My tayad is tayad!” she wrote.
Ogbodo also described Bobby as the “princess that married me,” adding that she had endured enough over the years.
“I am tayad of the Princess wey dey marry me… 8 years of my life isn’t enough yet?” she added.
The actress questioned whether she was expected to remain unhappy for decades before choosing her own peace, insisting that wanting happiness should not be seen as a crime.
Meanwhile, Bobby Maris also reacted to the development with a brief but cryptic post on his Instagram Story.
“Delivered,” he wrote.
Ogbodo and Maris got married on January 6, 2023, after welcoming their first child together, Lumina Ugwoegbu, in 2021.
The couple later welcomed their second child, Ifeanyichukwu Xavier Ugwoegbu, in 2023.
Neither Ogbodo nor Maris has publicly disclosed the exact reason behind their separation.
