Afrobeats superstar Davido has unveiled plans to release a brand-new single titled “I Know Who I Be,” marking his return with fresh music after months without a solo release.
The award-winning singer announced that the track, which features Jazzwrld and GL_Ceejay, will officially drop on June 26.
Sharing the news on his X page, Davido hinted at a new chapter in his music journey, telling fans that “the journey to the throne begins” as he revealed the upcoming project.
The announcement has already sparked excitement among fans, especially after the singer previously disclosed that he intended to take a temporary break from music.

The forthcoming song will be Davido’s first solo release since “Be There Still,” which was released in March 2025.
In recent months, the singer has remained active on the global music scene, including an appearance on TxC’s “Nakupenda” and a performance at the opening concert of the 2026 FIFA World Cup countdown series in Los Angeles.
Since breaking into the spotlight with “Dami Duro” in 2012, Davido has grown into one of Africa’s biggest music exports, releasing successful projects such as Omo Baba Olowo, A Good Time, A Better Time and Timeless.
