Award-winning actress Linda Ejiofor has opened up about her journey in Nollywood, revealing that talent alone is not enough for anyone hoping to build a successful career in the movie industry.
Fresh off her historic double win at the 2026 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), where she clinched both Best Lead Actress and Best Supporting Actress, Linda reflected on the lessons that shaped her rise to the top.
According to the actress, success in Nollywood requires far more than natural talent, stressing that discipline, patience, humility, and continuous learning are equally important.
“I learnt very quickly that talent alone isn’t enough. You need discipline, humility, patience, and a willingness to keep learning,” she said.
Linda recalled facing periods of uncertainty early in her career when acting opportunities were scarce and doubts crept in.
However, she said staying focused on personal growth, professionalism, and preparation helped her navigate the challenges and remain committed to her dreams.
The actress also explained why she has largely stayed away from controversies throughout her career, noting that she prefers to let her work speak for itself.
