Ekiti State Governor and APC governorship candidate, Biodun Oyebanji, recorded a massive victory at his polling unit in the ongoing governorship election, securing 326 votes out of 333 accredited voters.
The result from Polling Unit 003, located at Oyebanji’s Compound in Ekiti West Local Government Area, showed overwhelming support for the incumbent governor as he swept the unit with a commanding margin.
According to the official results, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) polled two votes, while the Action Democratic Party (ADP) and African Action Congress (AAC) secured one vote each.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) failed to record any vote at the polling unit, while three ballots were declared invalid.
Speaking after casting his vote, Oyebanji expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the election, describing the process as peaceful and orderly.
He also commended residents for turning out to participate in the democratic exercise.
The outcome further highlights the governor’s strong support base in his home area as results continue to emerge from across the state.
