Veteran Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has shared details about filming an intimate scene with actor Daniel Etim-Effiong in the upcoming second season of Netflix’s hit crime thriller, Blood Sisters.
Speaking during a recent appearance on WithChude, the award-winning actress revealed that professionalism remained a top priority throughout the filming process, despite the sensitive nature of the scene.
According to Henshaw, she made sure to have an honest conversation with her co-star before shooting began to ensure both of them were comfortable with what was required.
In her words:
“I had a conversation with Daniel about it. I asked him how far, are you comfortable and he said yes he is, that there is no problem.”
The actress praised Daniel Etim-Effiong for his professionalism on set, stressing that the scene was handled respectfully and without any awkward moments.
Henshaw, who is one of Nollywood’s most respected actresses, explained that despite her being topless during the shoot, her colleague remained focused and professional throughout the production.
She said:
“Daniel did not rise to the occasion, let me just say. He is a good boy. At no point did Daniel Etim rise to the occasion, let me clear that now.”
Her comments have since generated reactions online, with many fans applauding both actors for maintaining professionalism while working on challenging scenes.
Blood Sisters, which first premiered on Netflix in 2022, became a fan favourite for its gripping storyline, suspense-filled plot, and strong performances from its cast.
The series follows the lives of two best friends whose world is thrown into chaos after a murder occurs on a wedding day, forcing them to flee and fight for survival.
