Nigerian singer Spyro has made an emotional appeal to some of the country’s biggest music stars, urging them to use their influence to draw attention to Nigeria’s worsening security challenges.
The singer specifically called on Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy to lend their voices to the growing concerns over kidnappings and violent attacks across the country, particularly following the abduction of students and teachers in Oyo State.
In a heartfelt video shared on Instagram, Spyro expressed deep sadness over the plight of the victims, revealing that watching videos of some of the abducted teachers left him devastated.
According to him, Nigerians must unite and keep the conversation alive rather than allowing the issue to fade from public attention.
Spyro argued that influential voices have the power to amplify important causes and put pressure on authorities to act swiftly.
Making a direct appeal to the Afrobeats superstars, he said a single post or tweet from them could help attract national and international attention to the situation.
The singer stressed that the issue goes beyond music, fame, or entertainment, describing it as a humanitarian crisis that requires everyone to speak up.
He also appealed to President Bola Tinubu, urging the Federal Government to take urgent steps to secure the release of those still in captivity and address the growing insecurity affecting many communities.
Spyro further called on religious leaders, content creators, celebrities, and ordinary Nigerians to use their platforms to raise awareness, insisting that silence is no longer an option.
According to him, every voice matters in the fight to protect innocent lives and bring attention to the suffering of affected families.
His emotional message has since sparked reactions online, with many Nigerians supporting his call for celebrities and public figures to become more vocal on national issues.
