Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has addressed criticism surrounding her past relationships, insisting that she was often the one providing financial support for her former partners.
The actress made the remarks while reacting to comments from social media users following her views on the reported private marriage involving actor Baba Ijesha and content creator Luminee.
Speaking in a video shared on Snapchat, Nkechi dismissed claims that she has a history of failed relationships, maintaining that none of her former partners ever ended a relationship with her.
According to the actress, she was usually the main provider in those relationships and often made the decision to walk away when she felt it was time to move on.
“No man I’ve dated has ever left me. How can they leave me, who was the breadwinner?” she said.
Nkechi further stated that criticism about her dating life does not bother her because she is comfortable with the choices she has made.
“I am the one who leaves men when I am tired, so don’t think you can insult me by saying I change men like clothes,” she added.
The actress also defended her right to express opinions on trending issues online, arguing that many people share similar views but are often reluctant to voice them publicly.
“I am allowed to give my two cents on issues on social media,” she said.
Her comments have since generated mixed reactions online, with some supporting her honesty while others questioned her stance on relationships and public commentary.
