President Bola Tinubu has secured victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election held in Kabo Ward, Kabo Local Government Area of Kano State.
The primary election took place on Saturday at the APC secretariat in the ward, which is known as the home ward of the Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin.
According to party officials, Tinubu defeated his only challenger, Stanley Osifo, who failed to record a single vote during the exercise.
The result was announced by the returning officer, Umar Mohammadu Rabiu, who disclosed that only three out of the 1,007 eligible voters in the ward did not participate in the primary election.
Rabiu described the exercise as peaceful and successful, expressing satisfaction with the orderly conduct of party members throughout the process.
Reacting after the election, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin praised APC members for their impressive turnout and discipline during the exercise.
According to him, the large participation by party supporters is a strong sign ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Barau expressed confidence that President Tinubu would secure victory in the presidential election scheduled for January 2027.
The Chairman of Kabo Local Government Area, Lawal Najume, also commended the conduct of the primary and described it as peaceful and credible.
He further expressed optimism about the APC’s chances in future elections.
The latest result adds to the growing list of states and wards where President Tinubu has recorded overwhelming support during the APC presidential primary exercises.
