Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has suggested that she is no longer interested in navigating the dating scene after becoming frustrated with men who she says waste her time.
Tems made the remark during a TikTok livestream on Monday, telling viewers that she had “left the streets” and no longer wanted to deal with the frustrations associated with dating.
“I don’t like it when guys waste my time. But for me, never again. I don’t have that problem anymore. I have left the streets; I wouldn’t even say I was ever on the streets,” she said.
The singer did not provide further details about what prompted the declaration or reveal whether it was connected to a new relationship.
Her comment has nevertheless generated speculation among fans, particularly because Tems has generally kept details about her personal life away from public attention.
In an earlier interview with YouTuber Korty EO, Tems discussed some of her experiences with men who approached her romantically.
She said some of the men appeared to be more interested in her physical appearance than in developing a genuine relationship.
The singer indicated that she preferred meaningful connections rather than relationships primarily driven by physical attraction.
