Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned that Israel is prepared to strike its enemies at a moment’s notice, declaring that any future attacks against the country could trigger an even stronger military response.
Netanyahu made the remarks on Monday, just eight days before a closely contested election, amid heightened tensions and his recent warnings to Iran.
In a video statement recorded at a military base, the Israeli leader said he had spoken with the commander of the facility and witnessed Israel’s military capabilities to launch attacks whenever necessary.
According to Netanyahu, the country’s forces are prepared to respond immediately when the need arises, as Israel continues to face security challenges and tensions with its adversaries.
“I say to our enemies: Do not test us — you will receive harsher blows than you have suffered to date,” he said in the video statement.
Netanyahu did not identify the military base or specify which enemies he was referring to in his remarks.
His warning comes as Israel approaches a crucial election, with security and the country’s regional tensions remaining significant issues. His recent warnings to Iran have also drawn attention to the possibility of further escalation in an already volatile regional environment.
The Israeli prime minister’s statement signals his administration’s determination to maintain a strong military posture and respond forcefully to threats against the country.
