US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that he believes the war between the United States and Iran could end “immediately” after Americans vote in the November midterm elections.
Trump made the remarks while speaking to journalists, suggesting that Iran would not be able to sustain the conflict until then.
“I think the war will end immediately after the election” because Iran “can’t hold out any longer,” Trump told journalists.
He also accused Tehran of being “desperate to try and affect” the outcome of the US midterm elections.
