Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has approved the appointment of 1,000 aides, comprising 90 Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and 910 Special Assistants (SAs), alongside three Special Advisers and a commissioner-designate.
The state government said the appointments are aimed at strengthening governance and improving service delivery across Ondo State.
The governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, announced the appointments in a statement issued on Thursday.
Commissioner, Special Advisers
Erelu Taibat Yemi Oloruntoba from Akoko North-West Local Government Area was nominated as Commissioner for Special Duties. Her nomination has been forwarded to the Ondo State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
The governor also appointed three Special Advisers to oversee key areas of the administration:
- Hon. Abimbola Fajolu — Special Adviser on Environment
- Chief Ade Adeniyi — Special Adviser on Rural and Community Development
- Mr Muyiwa Ogunyemi — Special Adviser on Transport
Senior Special Assistants
Among the 90 Senior Special Assistants appointed are Erelu Toyin Ogungbure on Women Mobilisation (South), Bidemi Obayangbon on Forestry, Gboluge Olufunmi Alex on Community Engagement (South), Hon. Akin Adeniyi on Community Engagement (Central) and Obayan Theophilus Ayodeji on Community Engagement (North).
Others include Kelvin Solomon on Students Affairs, Adeolu Iwakun on Volunteer Services, Samson Job Bazuaye on Oil and Gas, Fade Ojamomi on Youth Empowerment and Job Creation and Sam Adepoju on Public Engagement.
The governor also appointed Alhaji Samad Orijeminiyi as SSA on Scholarship, Mr Victor Omodara as SSA on Grassroots Mobilisation and Abayomi Adefolalu as SSA on Photography.
Alhaji Abdukadiri Adenoyi, Prince Nzuoma Egbulefu and Alhaji Garba Goni were appointed as SSAs on Non-Indigenes.
The state government said the appointments are part of efforts to strengthen the administration’s governance structure and improve engagement with communities and different sectors of the state.
While some names have been released, the full list of the 90 SSAs and 910 SAs is expected to be made public later.
The appointments take immediate effect, except for the commissioner-designate, whose appointment is subject to screening and confirmation by the Ondo State House of Assembly.
