Canada has identified eight companies participating in its Global Hypergrowth Project (GHP), giving eligible foreign professionals, including Nigerians, an opportunity to obtain Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA)-exempt work permits under the country’s Innovation Stream.
The initiative is designed to help high-growth Canadian companies recruit skilled international talent more easily while supporting business expansion and innovation.
Canadian authorities have also extended the Innovation Stream pilot programme until March 22, 2028, providing more opportunities for qualified foreign workers to secure employment without requiring employers to obtain a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA).
Below are the eight companies currently participating in the programme and the opportunities they offer.
- Ada Support Inc.
Ada Support Inc. is a Toronto-based technology company that develops artificial intelligence (AI) customer service solutions for businesses.
The company creates AI-powered tools that help organisations manage customer interactions across chat, messaging and voice platforms.

The company operates from Blainville, Quebec, and exports pharmaceutical products to more than 50 countries worldwide.
However, no active job openings were listed by the company at the time of publication.
Innovation Stream Extended Until 2028
The Canadian government has extended the Innovation Stream pilot until March 22, 2028, allowing participating companies to continue recruiting highly skilled foreign professionals through the LMIA-exempt work permit programme.
The initiative is expected to make it easier for innovative Canadian businesses to attract global talent while creating more employment opportunities for qualified workers from countries such as Nigeria.
