African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has unveiled a technology-driven vision for Nigeria, saying he would deploy artificial intelligence (AI) and drone technology to transform governance if elected president in the 2027 general election.
In a series of posts shared on his verified X account, Sowore said his administration would embrace modern technology to improve transparency, reduce corruption and make government more efficient.
According to him, artificial intelligence would serve as the country’s “Minister of Finance,” while drone technology would function as a “Minister of Defence” by strengthening national security through advanced surveillance and rapid response.
“The AI will eliminate human manipulation, waste, and corruption in public finance by making data-driven, transparent decisions. The Drone will redefine national security with modern surveillance, rapid response, precision, and accountability,” Sowore wrote.
The former presidential candidate also proposed using blockchain technology alongside AI to combat corruption in public institutions.
He explained that blockchain would create a permanent and transparent digital record of government transactions, contracts, budget allocations and public spending, making it difficult for records to be altered.
Sowore added that AI would carry out real-time monitoring and audits of government activities to detect suspicious financial transactions, procurement irregularities and possible cases of fraud before public funds are diverted.
“Blockchain Technology and Artificial Intelligence are the most powerful weapons against public sector corruption,” he said.
According to him, introducing AI into public finance management would also reduce unnecessary bureaucracy, speed up decision-making and make government operations more transparent and accountable.
“Our goal is not bureaucracy; it is to rapidly improve Nigerians’ quality of life through technology-driven governance,” Sowore added.
The AAC presidential candidate has consistently promoted digital governance, institutional reforms and technology-driven transparency as key pillars of his #Sowore2027 campaign ahead of the next general election.
