A Lagos State Special Offences Court has granted social media influencer Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, bail in the sum of ₦20 million as she faces trial over an alleged ₦69 million fraud.
The ruling was delivered by Justice Oshodi, who ordered that the defendant provide two responsible sureties in like sum before she can enjoy the bail.
As part of the bail conditions, the court directed that each surety must present either a three-year bank statement or proof of a fixed deposit of at least ₦20 million.
The judge also ordered that Blessing Okoro and her sureties undergo verification through the Lagos State Judiciary’s Bail Information Management System.
During the proceedings, the court initially requested that the defendant surrender her international passport.
However, her lawyer informed the court that the passport had been lost and presented an affidavit of loss along with a copy of a public notice to support the claim.
Following the explanation, the court directed that the Nigerian Immigration Service be notified of travel restrictions placed on Blessing Okoro pending the conclusion of the trial.
The case was subsequently adjourned until October 12, 2026, for the continuation of proceedings.
Meanwhile, Blessing Okoro is also facing a separate two-count charge before the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, over allegations of obtaining money by false pretence and stealing involving ₦36 million.
She has denied the allegations, and both cases remain before the courts.
