US President Donald Trump has declared that the United States is “not finished at all” with Iran, warning that another major military strike could target Pickaxe Mountain, an underground nuclear facility believed to be under construction near Natanz.
Speaking on Tuesday during a meeting at the White House with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, Trump said the US would continue its military campaign against Iran.
“We’ll be hitting that area pretty soon, and very heavily,” Trump said.
He added that although he would not normally reveal potential military targets publicly, “there’s not a thing they can do about it.”
According to Trump, the damage already inflicted on Iran’s infrastructure would take decades to repair.
“If we left right now, it would take Iran 20, 25 years to rebuild… and we’re not finished at all… we’re not leaving right now,” he said.
The latest remarks come as tensions in the Middle East continue to escalate. On Tuesday, Iran reportedly intensified its attacks across the region, with Jordan, Kuwait and Bahrain among the countries affected, two weeks after renewed hostilities between the United States and Iran.
The conflict has heightened concerns over regional security, with fears that further military action could deepen instability across the Middle East.
