A private security outfit in Ondo State, Gallery Security Services Limited (GSSL), has rescued a kidnapped woman and arrested two suspected kidnappers during a coordinated operation in Irele Local Government Area.
The victim, identified as Morenike Falona, was reportedly abducted on June 16 before being rescued three days later following an intensive search operation carried out by the security firm’s operatives.
According to the company, the rescue mission was launched after receiving credible intelligence on the whereabouts of the kidnappers and their victim.
The operation led security personnel to a hideout in a palm plantation within Iju-Osun community, where the woman was found unharmed.
Two suspects were arrested during the raid and later handed over to the Ondo State Police Command for further investigation and possible prosecution.
Officials of the security firm praised residents who provided useful information that contributed to the success of the operation, urging members of the public to remain vigilant and continue supporting security efforts.
The Ondo State Police Command also confirmed the rescue and arrests, commending the security outfit for its collaboration and swift response.
Police authorities said investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend other members of the suspected kidnapping network.
The successful operation has been welcomed by residents, who described it as a major boost in the fight against kidnapping and other criminal activities in the area.
