Tech billionaire Elon Musk has reportedly become the first person in history to achieve a net worth of more than $1 trillion, following the blockbuster stock market debut of SpaceX.
According to reports, SpaceX’s shares surged shortly after the company’s public listing, significantly increasing the company’s market value and pushing Musk’s fortune past the trillion-dollar milestone.
The aerospace giant reportedly launched its IPO at $135 per share, before climbing to around $165 per share during early trading. The strong market performance boosted SpaceX’s valuation to over $2 trillion, making it one of the most valuable companies in the United States.
Before the IPO, Musk’s estimated wealth stood at $813 billion, already placing him far ahead of other global billionaires. The latest surge has widened the gap even further, cementing his position as the world’s richest individual.
SpaceX, which owns satellite internet service Starlink and AI company xAI, continues to expand its influence across space technology, artificial intelligence, and communications.
The achievement marks another major milestone for Musk, whose business empire spans multiple industries and has reshaped sectors ranging from electric vehicles to space exploration.
