Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has said government cannot shoulder the responsibility of funding education alone, stressing the need for stronger partnerships with communities, faith-based organisations, and private institutions to improve learning across the country.
The governor made the remark during the commissioning of a new educational facility established by the Christian Academy Management, describing education as one of the most powerful tools for building a prosperous and peaceful society.
Represented by the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. James Kanyip, Uba Sani said his administration remains committed to supporting individuals and organisations willing to invest in the future of young people.
“Meaningful progress requires collaboration among government, communities, faith-based organisations and private institutions. The task of educating our children cannot be left to government alone,” he said.
The governor noted that investing in education remains one of the surest ways to secure lasting peace, economic growth and sustainable development.
According to him, every investment in education creates opportunities for learning, strengthens communities and contributes to nation-building.
“Every classroom built creates opportunities for learning. Every child educated strengthens our communities. Every investment in education contributes to a more prosperous future for our state and nation,” Uba Sani stated.
He highlighted efforts by his administration to improve educational infrastructure, expand access to quality learning and make education more affordable and accessible for children across Kaduna State.
The governor added that the newly commissioned facility would go beyond serving its immediate community, describing it as a centre for learning, leadership development and character building.
He also commended the Christian Academy Management for what he described as a strategic investment in human capital development, noting that education remains a shared responsibility between government and society.
“Education is not only a social responsibility but also a strategic investment in human capital development,” he added.
Uba Sani reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to working with stakeholders who share the vision of improving educational opportunities and empowering the next generation.
