The Anambra State Commissioner for Education has praised the founder of Offor Global Network, Dr Stan Emoh, for his contributions to education and youth development across the state.
Emoh received an award of recognition during the 2025 Post Primary Schools Service Commission Cultural Carnival held at the Dr Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka.
The event, themed “Sustaining Culture and Traditions in Anambra State,” showcased cultural displays, student talents and innovations within the education sector.
Speaking during the ceremony, the Commissioner for Education described Emoh as “a visionary whose generosity and leadership continue to inspire a new generation of learners and community builders.”
The commissioner commended his philanthropic efforts, noting that his educational interventions had eased financial pressure on many families while helping thousands of students remain in school.
According to the organisers, Emoh sponsored the school fees of students at Community High School Nsugbe, Community Primary School Nsugbe and Central School Nsugbe for an entire academic session covering first, second and third terms.
The initiative reportedly benefited more than 1,500 students within the community.
Organisers said the gesture reflected Emoh’s strong commitment to improving access to quality education and empowering young people despite the economic challenges facing many households.
They added that the support encouraged students to stay focused on their education without fear of financial hardship.
Reacting to the honour, Emoh expressed appreciation to the organisers, saying the recognition would motivate him to continue supporting education and community development.
“This recognition is a call to do more for my community, Nsugbe, and Anambra State in general,” he said.
The Offor Global Network founder had earlier pledged to continue the school-fee sponsorship programme for five years to ensure that children from struggling families were not denied access to education.
However, the programme was later suspended following the introduction of free education in Anambra public schools by Governor Charles Soludo’s administration.
