The All Progressives Congress in Kaita Local Government Area of Katsina State has officially endorsed Hon. Sirajo Audu as its consensus candidate for the State House of Assembly ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The endorsement was announced during a stakeholders’ meeting attended by party leaders and supporters in the area.
Speaking at the gathering, Kaita LG Chairman and Katsina ALGON President, Bello Yandaki, described Audu’s emergence as a reflection of unity and agreement among APC members in the constituency.
“The choice of Sirajo Audu reflects the collective will and unity of APC members in Kaita,” Yandaki said.
He also urged residents to continue supporting the ruling party, while praising Governor Dikko Umaru Radda for encouraging consensus arrangements in the party’s candidate selection process.
According to him, Kaita remains one of the APC’s strongest political bases in Katsina State.
APC chairman in the area, Lawal Audu, also commended party loyalists for embracing the consensus arrangement peacefully.
He highlighted some projects being executed by the state government in the area, including the ongoing Zone Dam project, which he said is already about 75 per cent completed.
Lawal assured residents that more developmental projects would reach the area under the APC administration.
Reacting to his emergence, Sirajo Audu thanked party leaders and supporters for the confidence reposed in him.
He pledged to deliver meaningful representation and called on APC members to intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.
“We should continue going from door to door to canvass support for the APC,” he said.
