Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has declared that President Bola Tinubu is certain to win the 2027 presidential election, confidently stating that the people of Kaduna State will deliver at least 95 percent of their votes to the President.
The governor made the declaration on Tuesday during the flag-off of the 122-kilometre Kaduna–Birnin Gwari Road project, where he commended President Tinubu for what he described as unprecedented investment in Northern Nigeria.
According to Sani, Kaduna remains the political and economic hub of the North, stressing that development in the state translates into progress for the entire region.
“I want to assure you Kaduna is the capital of Northern Nigeria. Everyone is proud of Kaduna. Kaduna’s development is the development for all the states of Northern Nigeria, whether we like it or not,” he said.
The governor thanked President Tinubu for recognising Kaduna’s strategic importance and pledged the state’s continued political support for the administration.
“We are grateful to the President for recognizing that Kaduna is the heart of Northern Nigeria. We’ll continue to show our support. We will continue to support the President,” Sani stated.
Expressing confidence ahead of the next general election, the governor said he had no doubt that Tinubu would record a landslide victory in Kaduna State.
“I have no doubt in my mind 2027 election has been concluded. I have no doubt in my mind, we are giving Mr President at least 95% of the total votes. There’s no doubt about that and I stand to be challenged,” he declared.
Sani also reiterated his earlier claim that no Nigerian president has executed as many development projects in Northern Nigeria as President Tinubu.
Recalling remarks he made about two months ago, the governor said no one had been able to challenge his assessment of Tinubu’s performance in the region.
“When about two months ago, I came out boldly and I said, ‘No president in the history of Nigeria has done what President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has done for us here in Northern Nigeria,’ and I challenged everyone to come up with anything contrary to what I’ve said,” he said.
He pointed to ongoing infrastructure projects across the North as evidence of the President’s commitment to the region and questioned why previous administrations failed to undertake similar interventions.
“Why was it that other leaders did not do what President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is doing today for Northern Nigeria? Was it that Northern Nigeria was not a priority, or that was not their concern?” Sani asked.
The governor concluded by expressing appreciation to President Tinubu for what he described as his commitment to the development of Northern Nigeria and the country as a whole.
“Thank you for the love of the North, for the love for humanity, for the love for progress,” he added.
The remarks come as political activities ahead of the 2027 general election continue to gather momentum, with political leaders already expressing confidence in their preferred candidates.
