The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has announced a 15.8 percent increase in its profit after tax (PAT), reporting ₦535 billion in June 2026.
The figures were contained in the company’s June Monthly Report Summary, released on Friday.
According to the report, NNPC’s profit rose from ₦462 billion recorded in May to ₦535 billion in June, while total revenue also increased to ₦4.38 trillion, representing a 1.15 percent rise from the ₦4.33 trillion generated in the previous month.
The company also disclosed that it remitted ₦6.2 trillion into the Federation Account between January and June 2026. However, the figure represents a decline from the ₦6.96 trillion remitted during the same period in 2025.
NNPC further revealed that crude oil and condensate production dropped slightly from 1.73 million barrels per day in May to 1.72 million barrels per day in June.
The company attributed the decline to operational disruptions, facility integrity issues and subsurface challenges affecting some production assets.
On the other hand, natural gas production recorded modest growth, rising from 7.77 million standard cubic feet per day in May to 7.84 million standard cubic feet per day in June.
NNPC also provided updates on two major gas infrastructure projects, revealing that the Obiafu-Obrikom-Oben (OB3) Gas Pipeline has reached 98 percent completion, with first gas expected in August 2026.
Similarly, construction on the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline has advanced to 94 percent completion, with the company targeting early gas delivery to Abuja later this year.
